what is a state certification?

..i said that i wanted to be a teacher and someone told me i need a SC?

Answer #1

After you get a bachelor’s degree, each state has it’s own certification process for teaching in that state…some require a master’s, some a bachelor’s (but you can work on your teaching credential while you’re starting to teach).

What I’d do is contact a school in the district you’d like to teach and ask them where locally you can complete a teaching credential course, it’s usually a nine month program to get one if you already have a bachelor’s degree.

can u do ur credential course online? for the AA

Answer #3

AA = associate’s of arts typically or a two year degree…I can’t for the life of me remember any place I’ve ever been that only requires a two year degree to teach a course, unless it was a vocational, non credit earning course.

And yes, you can do some teaching credentials online, but you will need to check with the school(s) you’re considering to teach at, as requirements vary by state.
