Is it bad to sleep with makeup on?

Answer #1

Yea i would say so. All the oil from it settles in your pores and clogs them. Causing you to break out

Answer #2

It is when I do it because then I tend to break out.

Answer #3

I agree with Pistol Annies Angel. It’s especially bad if you wear foundation because it will clog your pores with oil (called sebum) and dead skin cells and cause buildup within them, which is what leads to acne. It’s also possible that this causes the pores on your face to enlarge, which leads to premature aging. I’ve heard some people say that it’s safe to sleep with eye makeup on, but I never do it just to be safe. I’ve read a few articles that say it can lead to irritation and infection of your eye. Though there are some people who can sleep with it on and don’t break out, why risk it? It only takes a minute to remove it and let your skin breathe at night, which is much healthier.

Meh ,depends how sensitive your face is … to me it is all right i mostly never take my makeup off but then again i don’t wear much … but if you were a lot i suggest you take it off ,1 because it will get your sheets dirty !!! And 2 it is bad for the skin , but if it by accident on those occasional nights were you can’t be asked i say leave it on and SLEEP !!! ♥

Of course, it can cause dryness and wrinkles.

Answer #11

Yep. even if its just mascara. mascara will dry out your eyelashes, and they will become brittle and break. And any other makeup will clog your pores.
