Skinned cat tail

We rescued a kitten from a merry go round (the kind outside the grocery store) and its tail is badly skinned, we are taking it to the vet asap but I was wondering will the hair grow back? It looks like someone purposely skinned its little tail. Its no more than 12- 18 weeks old im sure. But im just curious since its so young

Depends on what happened, I am going to say more then likely it will not ever look the same and it will not fully grow back, Please let us know what the vet said, and what a great job you did.

Aww that’s so sad. I’m pretty sure it will, but the vet will tell you.

I’ve never had a cat but if it’s not seriously skinned,the hair should grow back.
