First of all, don’t listen to “bad2da_bone” because you can be 16 years of age to get your GED. You can find a place for free, or you can do it online, or you can take night classes, which do not cost a lot.

You should definitely get your GED.

I’m sixteen, going to drop out of high school next week to get my GED & then, going to Community College! I’m a junior & I have exactly 12 credits (which you need 12 to become a junior where I’m from) and you have to have 28 credits to graduate from NC schools, so this is my best bet.

I am really, really smart & I make straight A’s, I just faulted during my freshman and sophomore years.

As far as careers, as long as you have your GED, you should be able to get one & be able to become enrolled in schools.

I guess you should, but I am more interested in how you made it past sophmore year with only 9 credits. My sister has her GED and so does my mom. My mom is a dental assistant. My sister works in child care. It is all a matter of how you use your GED. If you are going to be a cosmotologist then a GED is fine. Just make sure you pick a good cosmotology school.
