A snake can be sedated by experts usually by gas, such as Isoflurane as this is least problematic in terms of dosage. (Injectable sedatives are unreliable for reptiles and the result is often under or overdose)
Never deal with any wild animals unless you know what you are doing, even after death snakes can still bite you
I was just watching a tv show about a vet clinic and i wondered why they didnt sedate the snake thats all =]
