Where did the question someone asked go?

I got an email alert saying that I had a new question. This was different from the alerts letting me know when a new question has been posted or an answer was received. There was a link so I could go see the question. The link said I could read and answer the question. When I got there, it was the search page and the question was, “You got any advice for me”. No name or no place to answer anything, instead just a bunch of search results. I am very confused. What was that?

Hm, might have been deleted…that redirection you see to the search results happens when things get deleted.

So, the good news is, it wasn’t a glitch. The bad news is, hm…if an alert goes out, and we’re emailing about that question…hm. I wonder how many people that happens to?

We’ll have to look into it & see if there’s a better way to manage this. Thanks for bringing it up, it’s appreciated.

Can you forward the email to me? support at funadvice.com is the email.

It could be something was deleted, or it could be somebody was asking you, specifically, a question, and the link in the email was malformed, or…:) Really, it could be any one of 3-6 different things I can think of off the top of my head.

If you don’t have the email anymore, that’s cool - but, if it happens again, would appreciate it if you could either copy / paste the email or send it along so we can see.

Thanks!
