We're in the car with her and she's vomited three times now :(
-From my Blackberry
I found this. Gravol can be given to calm animals down for long car trips, moving, motion sickness, etc. Do not give to animals that have a history of seizures. Give by mouth, 1 to 1 ½ hours before leaving. It takes a while for the pet to feel the full effects. Dogs: Small dogs 0-25 lbs---------------- 25 mg ------- 1 ½ chewable childrens Gravol or one 25 mg tablet. Large dogs 25 + lbs--------------- 50 mg ------- 3 x 15mg chewable Gravol or one 50 mg tablet. http://funadvice.com/r/bi79jhrudni
So I'm not sure how useful it would be at this point in time, but you could try it, I don't think it will hurt her.
do not use gravol, you can simply use dramamine which is generally given to small dogs .. it is same as gravol . generally 2-4 mg is used and mild effect for about 8 hours is there for vomiting and nausea .... also cut the pill in 2 mg for your pup . puppy will be better...... !
I am no dog expert but it has been my experience that the more they ride as young pups (cats too) the more equipped they are to handle it. My lab upchucked a lot in the car as a puppy but within in weeks (of not every day travel) she was used to it.
Probably not, It"s just car sick alot of pups get that. It usually goes away over time. If you dont have far to go just get it home and make sure to give it plenty water...:)
sorry I mean given to small puppies...
