No, it’s not easy to remove any default applications on Macs. You can, however, use another web browser on your Mac such as Firefox, Opera, Chrome, etc.

I use the Safari browser on my Mac and my iPhone. I also have Firefox installed but don’t even bother with it much anymore.

same as Derek, u can put other browsers on there and use that as your new default browser. U have your choices of the top ones of Chrome, Firefox, or Opera, i use all three currently.

You can also change your default browser to chrome or another other browser you use so that when opening a link you stay in the same browser, but safari is good, i just fin chrome quicker
