Whenever you work out, youll lose the fat first. And then gain muscle. Think of it like a negative to positive number line. -10 is overweight, 0 is skinny, +10 is skinny with muscles. Gotta work your way up. Thats what doctors, classes, books, and different people tell me atleast. And from my experience along with others, its true. Dont get discouraged by stepping on a scale though, because muscle weighs more than weight so youll prolly weigh more if you gain lots of muscle. But its a good weight, not a bad weight.
That depends very much on the length and speed of your exercise. Running will build muscle in the leg, definitely. But an elongated and slow exercise will probably make you lose more weight than you gain by muscle build, while fast and furious will build more weight in muscle than it will burn in fat. For details ask a gym trainer or sports teacher.
Depends on your diet. If you're eating to gain weight, then it will build more muscle as you run. If you eat to lose weight, it will become more defined.
Muscle = eat more calories than you burn at maintenance Definition = eat less calories than you burn at maintenance
