Do you think it's bad to revise with the TV or music on?

Answer #1

Yes, it draws your attention away from your work.

Answer #2

i always do my home work or anything els with the tv on so it keeps me intrested instead of being in the dead silence, but watch out you could also be distracted and not even notice it

Answer #3

of course it isnt.

Answer #4

I always found (and still do) that listening to music while I doing my academic work aided concentration, recall and lateral thinking. . Many people who insist on doing similar work in total silence, nevertheless often find themselves tapping a pencil or drumming their fingers on the desk when they are having difficulty thinking due to the bland mind numbing silence. . The brain relies on multifarious electrical impulses in the brain, many of which can be further stimulated by rhythmic sounds whether created by tapping pencils, drumming fingers or your favourite music music.

Answer #5

Some people concentrate better with it because they dont get bored but some people just learn the lyrics to the songs and the beat but not the actual thing they are supposed to be revising

Answer #6

The trick is to listen to music that you are very familiar with, so you dont need to learn it. If you find yourself singing (or thinking about) the lyrics too much, you just use instrumental music.
