??? You don’t believe your doctor who has gone to school for more years than you have been alive, but you are asking every anonymous person in the world for medical advice. Makes sense to me!

Answer #4

Have you tried Chiropractic? My doc (the back popper) told me that the reason he went to school to be a chiropractor is because growing up he had horrible sinus problems, than when he was a teenager, a chiropractor totally cured him of it. This was a line to draw me in or anything. I was already a patient for a year or so, and I go for other reasons, not sinuses. But anyway, it might be worth a try. I saw ‘firestorm’ suggested acupuncture which is also excellent, but it might be hard to find a good dr. My physician is Korean, knows a little on the subject, and he says there are LOTS of Quacks out there…Well, I hope you get better. Pray. Read the Bible…

Answer #5

welll then take that idkkk.

I have chronic migranes, and my doctor has not yet been able to figure out what causes them. My boyfriend had them too, and about 2 years ago he got a CT Scan done to check his sinus’ and it turned out that he had a HORRIBLE sinus infection that he had to have sugery for. He is doing better than ever now. Perhaps you should ask your doctor to have a CT Scan done, and to see an E.N.T(ears,nose and throat) doctor for a second opinion. Chances are, if your migranes are in the front of your head or there is pressure behind your eyes/nose that it is sinus related. My boyfriend took Maxalt for his migranes which he said helped to dull the pain. I have yet to find anything that works for me.

Bimjob,

Do you think that because someone is a Doctor that they are above making mistakes? Many doctors have made mistakes in their diagnosis of medical problems. Therefore it is not illogical for her to come on a website that has hundreds of thousands of participants to see if someone else has had the same problem and what their solution was.

I have to agree. I went to school - but doctors tend to overlook things. We’re all human, and while they teach you everything they can in school… you’ll never know everything.

And to answer your question:

I would ask for a CT scan. Horrible migraines can be related to sinus problems that require further attention as stated above, there is a condition that (sorry bimjob) I cannot recall the name of - however yout temples could be inflamed, and of course you could also have a tumor.

Severe and constant migraines are nothing to fool around with. I would recommend a second opinion from a different doctor. A degree does not mean you know all the answers.

Simply a Rose to brighten your day,         And maybe lessen the cares in your way;         And also, too, to help you to know,         That in knowing you, many others grow!

Alisha,

I’d recommend that you consult with another doctor. Your current doctor may be missing something, so a second medical opinion is in order. Meanwhile, I’d call your local pharmacist and ask them what is the strongest over-the-counter pain medication that they would recommend for migraine headaches.
