When did you realize you wanted to spend the rest of your life with your significant other? This question is more directed to people over 18.

Answer #1

I was twenty and my boyfriend and I had been dating for a year and broke up. His family pressured him to break it off with me because of our age difference. I still hung around him and one night we were at his apartment. He put on Enya Only Time and went out to the balcony with me. We danced and he said he made the biggest mistake of his life and then asked if I would be his. Of course I said yes and a year later we got married.

Answer #2

About a month into the relationship, but perhaps it didn’t become official until the 9 month mark. It was early, yes, but that’s just have we roll. I told him we had to date two years before getting engaged, but we went a year, spent two months engaged, and then here comes the bride :) Haha. Rushed? Probably, but we’re happy nonetheless.

Answer #3

That’s all that matters! ;)

Answer #4

I haven’t realized that yet. :)

Answer #5

I’m not married and not planning to. But my realisation was probably about 2 years into our relationship. We are both extremely happy.

Answer #6

I felt like I’d known him all my life within a week, but I was pretty gunshy about “the rest of my life”. We lived together for 4 years, before I committed to marriage…and the rest is history…we’re still together.

Answer #7

after our first date actually! Everything just seemed really different with Scott and I felt like we complimented each other really well. Its been two years and I still think that

Answer #8

The moment I saw him. Yes, I do believe in love at first sight, because I’ve encountered it, and he had the same feeling when he first saw me. We’ve been together for several years and are happier than ever.
