How can I get my rat to connect with me quickly?

i used to have the same problem, mine used to be terrified of me. :x but i started giving her treats in the cage everyday & i’d pet her with my fingers, then the next week i’d give her the treats by hand, & pet her with more of my hand. then i gradually just like started holding her everyday, & now shes the frendliyst thing ever :D ahah.

yeah pet it and give it lots of food and kisses.

1. Treats ( Mine Love Fruits!)
2. Just reach in and grab it.
3. Pet it gently.
4. Let it lick/smell your fingers through the cage.
5. Never chase it around the cage it will scare it even more.
6. Rats and Mice mostly never bite unless they are super young.

thanks :) thats actually super helpful :) im gonna try that. mines a boy so i dunno. maybe he can sense i’m a girl and he’s threatened…. :) but i’m gonna try. :)

Yogurt drop treats. Rat’s love them, besides that playing with them. I was close with my rat. She even came when I called.

whewre can i get yoghurt drop treats??? or how could i make them maybe?? :)
