i used to have the same problem, mine used to be terrified of me. :x but i started giving her treats in the cage everyday & i’d pet her with my fingers, then the next week i’d give her the treats by hand, & pet her with more of my hand. then i gradually just like started holding her everyday, & now shes the frendliyst thing ever :D ahah.

yeah pet it and give it lots of food and kisses.

Treats ( Mine Love Fruits!)
Just reach in and grab it.
Pet it gently.
Let it lick/smell your fingers through the cage.
Never chase it around the cage it will scare it even more.
Rats and Mice mostly never bite unless they are super young.

I breed mice… Works for them….*

thanks :) thats actually super helpful :) im gonna try that. mines a boy so i dunno. maybe he can sense i’m a girl and he’s threatened…. :) but i’m gonna try. :)

Yogurt drop treats. Rat’s love them, besides that playing with them. I was close with my rat. She even came when I called.
