Why do people put themselves down does it have to do with the past.

It’s due to the way they think (cognitions)… which could be due to the past… but not always…

Sometimes…

People put themselves down because they don’t have enough confidence or pride, practically their worried about something.

It can revolve around a number of things. -loneliness -relationships -past trauma

And the list goes on. Everyone has a reason for what they do. And those who don’t are just looking for a safety line.

Exacly. I put myself down everyday, it’s become a habit. And I’m not proud of it either.

I think sometimes we do it because once were down, we have no where to go but up.
