Im 21 weeks pregnat and just stopped smoking weed..so do you think it would stay in my system?and how long does it stay in your system?

THERE IS NO EVIDENCE OF THC AFFECTING A CHILD!!! in California doctors can and will prescribe medical marijuana for morning sickness and hyperemisis. I don't suggest you smoking any longer because you will be drug tested as well as the baby and when or if your child does test positive you will be visited by cps for a home visit and to make sure the child is in no danger. AS FOR THE JERKS ON HERE DON'T SCARE THIS POOR GIRL WITH YOUR JARGON!!! BESIDES WHO ARE YA'LL TO JUDGE ANYONE??? I'M SURE YOU AREN'T ALL SAINT'S PROBABLY A BUNCH OF DRUNKS THAT STILL THINKS THAT IS OK BECAUSE IT IS LEGAL!!!here is some more knowledge for you hypocrites alcohol levels are not checked in hospitals not the baby or mother, but that is sad since we do know fetal alcohol syndrome does exsist, but don't worry girl there is no scientific proof that smoking marijuana has any affect on your child other than low birth weight, which is still arguable because know one can say what average is when everyone is different!!!
Weed stays in your system for 30 days, ally I hate to tell you it doesn't matter how long you have been smoking, it stays in your system the same amount of time. I'm currently on probation and in drug counseling and tons of people fail for that reason. They are misinformed about how long it stays in their system.
As for the original question. You are pregnant. You should not be smoking. It's great that you finally quit -don't pick it up again. You are going to cause damage to your baby and to your babies lungs. There is a HUGE risk that your baby can be born pre-mature from smoking marijuana and/or ciggarettes.
When you are pregnant - it's not all about you anymore. That baby comes first and it's time to be unselfish.
Thank you Jstin66, you are correct. Most of these people who posted before you are severely ignorant. I feel sorry for their children and the ignorance that will likely be passed on to them. The only scientific data collected so far that is recognized as being completely unbiased and controlled actually showed benefits to the unborn child and absolutely no consequesnces. There are more consequences to the fetus and mother's liver by taking regular Tylenol. Ofcourse this research data is not known in the United States by the general public because most adults in this country would rather continue their ignorance. It is very well known in Europe though.
wow, some of the things I read on the web. just shock me. I am a pot smoker once in a while. drink water and exercise and you should be fine. however it would have been safer if you had stoped much earlier. I just found out im prego and once that test is positive the weed is gone. no reason to risk anything. but you cant change that now. just stay away from it and you should be fine. once I had smoked only to find out the next day I got a new job. they wanted a test. I drank water and jogged and a week and a half later I dropped clean. and im am not a small girl. good luck. don't fret too much and be the best mom from here on out that you can.
It doesn't even matter how long it's going to stay in your system because your baby has been getting it EVERYDAY that you've smoked...and now that you've decided to stop smoking and quit being selfish, your baby is STILL going to suffer the consequences. Like everyone is saying, you SHOULD'VE stopped the day you even THOUGHT you were pregnant! You should really tell your doctor so they can watch for certain things to keep your unborn child safe. It's serious, and they need to know so they can do what they need to, to help your baby's life, not just yours.
honey you weren't suppose to be smoking weed the day you find out that your pregnant you have to stop smoking the day you find out honey I got a nephew who was unborn and his pot head mama was smoking and he came out having kindey failure he having seizures whaen he was a little baby but you know smoking can really defect the baby life 50/50 chance that the baby not breathing right in your body you wont get it out of you system cause your addict to it right it harder to quit smoking baby girl take care hope the baby comes out fine

exercising and eating healthy is just about the only thing you can do... drinking water is good but you have to do it before the drug test because all that water does is screws up the test. Vinager and cramberry juice does nothing too because they are not fat sulable and THC is stored in fat
Omg. Everyone who has posted thus far, with the exception of a few, are complete morons. Look up "Doctor Melanie Dreher" and read her study. POT DOES NOT HARM THE FETUS! As a matter of fact, doctor Dreher has proven that it's actually good for the fetus.
As for the original question, look up your state laws. I'm 28 weeks pregnant and have to stop smoking now, because I live in Texas, where smoking while pregnant is apparently a felony punishable with up to 20 years in the pen.
Thank you for all the supportive people out there not being so judgemental on other peoples lives I smoked during my frist pregnancy because I have panic/anxiety disorder and if it wasnt illegal my doctor would've have told me to smoke to keep the baby stress free...It is not proven anywhere that THC is harmful to your baby so get your facts straight before coming on here and criticizing people...Thank you
