Pregnant at a young age?

You might as well be throwing your life away.

Many people advise against becoming pregnant at a young age, and I agree. But I became pregnant when I was 17 years old. I’m now 23 and my son is 4 and a half. I had him my junior year in high school and earned honors that year and also my senior year. I had amazing amounts of support, emotionally and financially. And honestly it saved my life, considering I was going through a really dark and scary time. I’m not saying pregnancy is a solution to any problem, but it sure saved my life. Keep in mind this is my own personal experience and the results are not always the same as with all things in life.

well I’m 16 and I’m not pregnant… that I know of… but every month I get paranoid that I could be pregnant… and as much as I want it to happen because my boyfriend and I love each other to death and I know we could handle a baby just fine… I also know that it would be way better for me to not get pregnant for at least another 2 years… I’m not on birth control but I’ve been thinking about getting it… and we don’t use condoms and he doesn’t pull out… it’s out of sheer chance that I haven’t gotten pregnant… and like I said… I would be totally happy if I got pregnant… but I would also be totally happy if it didn’t happen for about 2 more years…

its very hard to be pregnant at a young age.I was 17 when I got pregnant and im 18 now.I love my son and I wouldnt trade him for anything.but if I could change anything,it would be to have him when I was a little bit older.but having a baby is exciting,fun,stressful,hard,draining,etc.my boyfriend and I are both currently unemployed.he had gotten laid off and I was working in a hair salon so I quit.we dont have medical insurance for the baby yet so we have to pay all medical payments out of pocket and it is very expensive.my son is currently 1 month old.he goes through so much formula,diapers,wipes in 1 month.we spent over $200 dollars on supplies a month for him.he constantly needs clothes and detergent.I got lucky because he doesnt cry a lot.only if hes hungry or has gas.he wakes up in the middle of the night.I have not gotten a good nights sleep since before he was born.I dont hang out with my friends anymore because I dont have time.they come here.my boyfriend and I had plans to move in together but financial we cant right now.so I live with my parents.he is turning 20 and I am 18.I was in college but had to put that on hold.everything I do revolves around my son.I love him to death but it can be very frustrating.on top of that I have to deal with being uncomfortable about how I look.I’ve lost a lot of weigh but not exactly back to my size.I was a size 4 in jeans but now I cant get those sizes past my hips.its very upsetting but at the same time exciting because I look at his face and all my troubles go away.it has it ups and downs about being a teenage mom.I respect anyone around my age who can do this because it really takes maturety and responsibility.

its very hard its nothing no girl or boy shud want to do at a young age I got pregnant when I was 16 and I love my son to death but I wish I cud have waited…

I am young 2,but I think it’s hard because you are a baby yourself and you have to take care of a baby.So that’s what I think!!!1

All I can advise is that if anyone is sexually active to get on REAL method of birth control. God only gives you what you can handle yet I don’t believe its the smartest thing being that you have to grow up still as well as the child. I am essentially leaning towards teenage pregnancies. I honestly commend anyone who does manage to take care of a child as a child and be a provider. I see a lot of people who just aren’t ready and practically give their child away…

ok well im 19 years old I have 4 kids and im married no it is no a bad thing and your not a slut if you get pregnant at a young age but it iz hard at times I go to college and my husband works my mom takes care of the kids wile im at school ad my husband iz workin
