Pinched nerve perhaps?

Ok, so I think I might have pinched a nerve in my neck while sleeping. Maybe not though? I go to sleep some nights, and then wake up in the morning with pain on one side of my neck, and it hurts to turn my head. This has been happening more often now than ever.

Does anyone have any reccomendations on how to get rid of the pain? -or- Does anyone have any suggestions on how to avoid this? Answers are greatly apprecaiated.

Answer #1

maybe your just sleeping on it the wrong way

try doing something different with your pillows or something

It sounds like you’re getting a chill on your neck- this usually happens if your bed is next to a window, as it’s usually caused by a draft of cold air.

If your bed is next to the window, I suggest moving it to somewhere a bit further away. You could also try wearing a neck-warmer, (which are usually a stretchy tube of fabric made from polypropaline, wool or silk, which just slips over your head and down around your neck like a scarf) while in bed.

For the pain itself when you have it, just manage it with an over the counter painkiller like paracetemol or asprin. If you can get someone to give it a gentle massage for a wee while, this can also help a bit.
