what is the perfect meal I can prepare for a date, like if both me and my date are on a diet?
Grilled fish or chicken, combined with steamed squash, fresh whole grain bread, asperagus, green beens, spinach or other lower carn veggies. I would avoid a salad unless you prepare it with a lemon/vinegar/salt dressing ahead of time, because people tend to add dressing which is loaded with fat and calories.
Here is one of my favorite lite meals:
Saute fresh garlic in a *little* olive oil in a pan. Then, add fresh salmon (bone and skin removed), and pile it high with fresh spinach , capers, and spices you enjoy (I use a salmon seasoning from Sams that is fantastic, but whatever you like). Cover it on medium heat and let it cook until the spinach is soft. The fish will be done at this point.
This is almost a meal in itself, but if you want to add some squash you've eitehr baked or pan cooked, that works too.
I recommend a nice pinot nior with this. (you are no longer socially required to serve white wine with fish).
when I was with my ex and he was over my place for the first time ever, I made a chicken casear salad minus the smelly/ vomit cheese and had some bread rolls cutted in halves and topped them up with sundried tomatoes and thin slices of ham :-)
my cooking must have suxed because we broked up 7 months later hahah
