Which Paypal option would be best for me and is there anything I have to pay?

So, with the whole points turns into moolah thing, I have been considering getting a paypal account. I see there’s quite a bit of options : student, personal, premier, etc. What’s the difference between them. I’ve been reading them, but unless adults help me out, I’m scared I’ll miss something in the info or terms that will make me regret doing it on my own. So, please. As much info as you can give me. And the account will be mostly for here and online shopping.

Sign up for a personal account. You do not need credit card info to do this, and I think you can still have a balance on your paypal account if you do not have a credit card.

The Student account would be if your parents wanted to use their credit information to start an account for you, and the other two don’t really apply.

PayPal is fine to use. I’ve used it for ages, for a long time without a credit card, just as a transfer thing.

What’s with the student thing? It says they give you a debit card . Like, just any info if you know about it (:

The student account is basically your parents creating a debit card for you with their money, that they can monitor (see literally everything you spend money on, where, and when), but that you can use for online (and offline) shopping. It’s a debit card, so you can’t spend more than what your parents put on the card. To put money on it I think you have to give it to your parents for them to transfer in.

(Maybe it doesn’t bother you, but the whole parents-see-all would freak me out. When I was 15 and wanted to start an online shirt selling store, I didn’t want my parents to know about it at all, so I got an older boyfriend with a credit card to start the account. We broke up and it was awkward because we were still meeting up and he would give me the cash every so often, but it worked out anyway. A risky option, but still an option :p)

Do I need a bank account for it?
