Why, for the most part, is new more appealing than old?

New car smell is better than old car smell. New clothes are more exciting than old clothes. Animals and humans newborns are cuter and wanted more than when they are old. A fresh salad is better than an old salad. A new TV, iPod, Cell phone or Computer is better than their old versions.

Something that’s about equal is with drivers. New drivers and very old drivers are about as bad but only old drivers will get disrespected by the majority of the driving public and made fun of. We all heard at least somebody say. “OMG, why are you driving like an old lady!” Or “Get out of the fast lane old lady”

The new car smell makes the car seem all the more fresh. People get tired of their clothes, so brand new ones are exciting (like you said) and often more fashionable. People like fashionable. Babies are “wanted more” because they’re just like regular people, only cuter and less douchey. An old salad is… old? Who would want to eat old food? A fresh would probably taste better. New TV’s, ipod’s, cell phones, and computers are more advanced and people like advanced. Hahah, you’re totally right about the drivers! Anyway, to answer your original question, I think it really just depends on opinion and what exactly you’re referring to.
