What if I'm being forced to stay late on my birthday?

Well, depending on where their grade is, 40 points may not ruin their life, but it could ruin their report card. And if you are trying to get a scholarship that could be bad. I hope you find a solution that works out for everyone.

You just gotta do it. Birthdays come EVERY year of your life. School is only a small fraction of your life, but what you do in school will affect you for your entire life. Just plan to celebrate it on a different day. It’s not that big of a deal, is it? Or you could just not go and then have fun for a few hours at your birthday, but is a few hours of fun worth jeopardizing your future? Think about it and make your decision…

If your teacher is easy to talk to, tell her it’s your birthday, and you have birthday plans. If she’s not, have your parents give her a call. She may not even know it is your birthday.

Well, thats stinky. I would talk to your teacher. But if this is something that everyone has to do, and it’s already been planned, you may be out of luck. And you don’t want to mess with 40 points, believe me. If you still have to go after you talk to your teacher…why don’t you plan to celebrate your birthday on the weekend? Why can’t you tell her it’s your birthday?? or have your parents speak with her.
