For my RE homework, we have to have 5 reasons for and against this statement:
There is no such thing as the Devil, it is people who are evil.
I'm really struggling and I wondered if anyone could help.
1: God doesnt exist, therefore the devil doesnt exist. 2: The book in which we base our opinions on of the devil, is filled with false information, things stolen from other religions, and contradictions. 3: Christians use their flaws such as fear, superiority, etc to blame bad things that happen on imaginary things instead of admitting that bad things just happen. 4: The things that Christians blame on the devil such as sickness, death, mu.rders, etc are all apart of life, we as humans are not meant to live forever and these diseases and circu.msances are all apart of life. 6:The devil does not exist seeing as how its impossible that he is in the center of the earth burning souls forever. Lol, idk if they made any sense but i tried. Its hard to even come up with five when its as simple as the devil doesnt exist...period.
truthurts - You have your religious beliefs and i have mine. The user asked a specific question and i answered, this isnt a religious debate. Show some respect for other religions and move on.
I'm with you there. Thanks for trying anyway.
I've got 3 reasons for and 4 against. I'm gonna use one of yours and leave it as four each - we had to do between 3 and 5. :)
The greatest deception that Lucifer ever told to humanity was that he doesn't exist. Only a fool would fall for his puerile antics. Then again, most humans are fools.
you could include your opinion if you think there a devil why dont you check out bbc GCSE bitesize on the r.e section see if theres any information there :]
I wasn't talking to you specifically, merely making a general statement: Humans are fools. End of story. Respect the truth and move on.
Thanks to all who have answered (all 2 of you lol!). Both your replies were really useful. I have now finished my homework :)
