Should I let him back in my life?

I was in love w/my best guy friend. I told him that I liked him & he led me to believe that he could see himself having the same feelings. After several months down the road, he tells me that he is really crazy about some other girl & that he never had any feelings for me to begin with. So, he ended our friendship. Now after 6 months later, he wants to pop back into my life now that things are over w/him & the girl that he was into before. Why would he do that? Is he just wanting to keep his options open w/me?

He is feeling pretty vulnerable at the momment just breaking up with someone and he feels lonely. He knows you liked him once, and might still do thats why he is back, to find out becos he is comfortable with you and figures cos things with the other chick didnt turn out he may as well give you a go now. If you want to be his friend for now and wait and see if you can learn to trust him again then fine, but dont do anything with him until that day comes when you can trust him, its gonna take a long time becos he is the one that didnt need your friendship anymore cos he had someone else, now he doesnt have her he wants you again, user i reckon!
