4 Years of college 4 of medical school 1 of a Pediatrics internship 2 of a Pediatrics residency

The average tuition for the first year is $25,000. Additionally, there are fees for books, housing, meals, student fees, traveling, etc. Public Schools are about $10,000 if you’re an in state student. Out of state students can expect to pay well over $22,000 for a public medical school. Many students take out loans to pay for medical school but end up in debt after graduation. Others join the US military in exchange for tuition.
