Are McDonald's oatmeals healthy?

Id rather eat at home but right now im in a rush and dont have food at home so i was wondering if eating a mcdonalds oatmeal okay?

Answer #1

I wouldn’t consider anything on McDonald’s menu ‘healthy’. Everything there is either loaded with tons of fat, sodium, or tons of sugar. Will eating it occasionally or just this once harm you, though? No.

Here’s their nutritional facts on the oatmeal: http://funadvice.com/r/150q7536fnj

Based on the statistics the oatmeals are probably one of their healthier choices to go with.

Answer #2

nothun from there is healthy

Answer #3

The only thing healthy on their menu is their salads and that’s without the piece of meat.

Answer #4

NO! I heard they have more sugar than a snickers bar!

Answer #5

That oatmeal has 190 calories and only 4 grams of protein with 38g of carbohydrates! 14g of sugar from that one serving?! You’ll find better nutritional info in a Quaker’s box or even the generic brand of oatmeal. I understand why people like it though, it’s full of sugar which makes oatmeal “tasty” to the average person.

Here’s a tip, if you want oatmeal to taste good without those sugars, just dice a piece of fruit like a raspberry or a banana. It’ll taste better and won’t add any large amounts of sugars that you’d get from McD’s.

Answer #6

NOOOO I worked at McDonalds when it came out and its 300 calories actually with little protein and too much sugar for an oatmeal.

NOTHING, i repeat, NOTHING from there is healthy, I would know, I was one of the crew members who had to pick out aging lettuce from the salads they serve so we could still sell it. There goal is to make money, not keep you healthy, and since being healthy is a trend right now, they will go the cheapest route to make you think you are ordering something nutritous.

Answer #7

and its only 190 if the customer doesnt get any fruit or cream in it, just the plain oatmeal, way better to get generic and add fruit like you said
