Some people do believe it is a sin, but those people are a minority. The vast majority of people mast*rbate and believe that it is just fine.

Physically, mastrbation is very good for you. It has numerous health benefits. For boys, frequent mastrbation (about five or more times a week) in the teens and twenties may decrease your chances of getting prostate cancer later in life.

There isn’t really a “normal” amount to mastrbate. Some people mastrbate every day, some do it once a week, some do it once a month. So you can’t really mast*rbate “too much,” unless you do it so often that you don’t have time for anything else or rub yourself raw!
