I know how to give a massage. but what are some tips for improving for a back massage?
thanks a bunch
The best tip to improve is to either take a class, or practice both giving somebody a massage and receiving one...use variation in your strokes, etc, and apply various amounts of pressure. For me, upper back, between the shoulder blades along the spine is a big deal, along with the neck muscles, and then the lower back just above the tail bone area...if you can work those reasonably well, you'll do fine.
Also, ask "how is this" is the pressure good for you, harder, softer, etc, as you give a massage...don't do it too much, but a few times is OK to get a sense of what, if anything, should be changed.
Get under the shoulder blades.. :)
