How long does an average high school relationship last?

It depends what age in high school. Personally I don’t think high school relationships ever really count the same as adult ones, thats just my opinion. I’d say at age 11 you change what you like quickly so maybe a month, I suppose they get a bit longer each year but there are always exceptions, like people who stay together for 5 years from age 12. If you feel happy with that person I don’t think it matters how old you are and how long other people have had boyfriends/girlfriends for.

It depends. When I was in high school, there were ‘relationships’ that lasted a week -.- but then there were a few of my friends that were in a relationship the whole way through, for like 4 years with the same person.

it’s varies. some weeks, some last months, some last years, some even last a lifetime… it really depends on the people and how serious they are about each other. sometimes couples who fall in love in high school develop committed relationships, but 72% don’t last (according to google).

It all depends on how the couple are, why they are going out e.c.t. High school relationships most of the time don’t last because sometimes they are not going out because they love each other, boys are only in for sex, not saying all but some are, it’s just the age where we are figuring out how we feel and what we like, you know?

i would say it all depends on the two people, how they really feel for each other, their maturity, etc. my friend and her boyfriend have been together since they were in grade 6/5 and they’re in grade 10/9 now, still together.

Most definitely depends on the person. But yeah I’ve had couple friends carry there relationship 3-4 yrs. Some a week, days, months. Just learn from your past relationship.

Think about marriage. 1 in 2 marriages today end in divorce. What will it be 5 years from now. It soon will be no marriages at all, because neither guy or girl want the responsibility for what they do. Since neither one knows how to handle a relationship, their difficulty shows that, it’s easier not to marry. Easier to walk away. No divorce to handle.

Depends on what the relationship is for, if for sex no longer than a couple weeks usually if on a rebound usually not long, can be like a couple weeks or a month or if its serious it can last months, years or longer

My aunt and uncle started dating in high school at the age of 16 and they are married and have adopted a beautiful daughter from China and now they are 39, I want to say but I am not sure. But average I would say couple week to a few months. I have seem high school relationships last an hour. It depends if you respect and love the person you are with.

hmm… well lets not get me started..too late. when i was in high school. dinosaur years ago. i was with my boyfriend for 2 years. and then one summer before senior year, he broke up with me. he started hanging out with other girls, all he wanted was a piece of ass, and guess what, he got it. and got it, and got it. but about a 473 days later after the break up, he came crawling back. it wasnt until i was ready to move further south and get out of the state, he got down on one knee and proposed out of no where, i dont know why i said no at first. he proposed to me 4 times within the next 2 years and we ended up getting married and having 13 kids, now we have 78 grand kids and 469 great grand kids. its nice watching them grow up. good luck sweety, anything can happen.

well it depends if both of the person are getting along then they would last but if they have nothing in common and they just do it to be popular then nothing will happen

I’m in my junior year of highschool and me and my boyfriend have been together since I was a freshman.
