Started a rumor and told one of your honest friends

What if you started a rumor or could be true and just told one of your honest friends that wouldn’t tell mobody your secrets and the thing is that your principal is having a affair with a teacher well there is signs but not for sure what do you think I should do cause if my principal I will get in big trouble help!!!
