How do I learn more about a painting I have?

I have a painting of waves crashing into the shore. It is on a felt canvas and in the bottom right it’s sined Miguel. Anyone have any ideas about it, or where I can learn more about it?

If you think it might be worth something you could take it to your local antique shop, or try to look stuff up on the computer.

You can also go to an art gallery to have it appraised or if you have an art museum nearby.

if it has a name or signature reseach it on the internet or go to a art museum
