ask for a second opinion and third opinion…some doctors like to make assumptions that you are whining over a mild discomfort and that you are over exaggerating your symptoms this is especially true with female patients

I had discussed my heart racing with one doctor and brought it up to another both brushed it off ..thinking I was exaggerating and it was mildly elevated do to exertion normally range 60 to 100 beats a minutes)
Nine months later I brought up to another doctor as it was happening frequently and lasting several hours that was when testing finally starting and they seen that my heart was beating at 200 beats a minutes which in itself last for a long period of time can cause my heart to become so overworked that it could just quit… plus while is occuring my blood pressure falls as me blood oxygen decrease and my brain becomes oxygen starved both effects can be deadly … and here I went 9 months with a potentially fatal left untreated just because doctors assuming I was over exaggerating my symptoms.

but there is even worse news the heart problem was being caused by an underlying condition…lung cancer which happened to be found during the testing… had it been found then I likely would have been stage 1 ..it would have meant I could have had micro surgery..which is far easier than what I face now… my odds of surviving beyond 5 years would be far higher so their assumptions may very well cost me my life in the long run even though I was lucky to survive my heart problems.

If you do feel something is not right with your health ..then be pushy and demanding until you are satisfied with your answer …do not allow any doctor to give you the brush off because your life could depend on it
