Lay off the caps? And yeah, they are really good dogs, have had one for 8 years now. :)

I have a black lab puppy, shes about 5 months old and she is very smart. If you dont train it when it is very young it is much harder to train it to sit, fetch or shake. The only bad thing is they love to be around people, and hate to be alone. So its not the type of dog to get if you arent going to be home most of the day.

Yes…they are lovely dogs…tho they can give you a run for your money when pups…and they stay “pups” till they are 18 to 24 months old…

Labs are okay if you don’t have small children. They are great dogs, but they are very rough with little kids. Ours is 4 years old and still hasn’t settled down enough to play well with the kids. He is only playing but he hurts them. He is very smart and sweet . Some people say if he was neutered he would be better. He is just very hyper. They chew up everything they get their mouth on. Even your childs favorite toy. Your favorite chair or anything else you love. They also eat a lot. Oh, and they are very strong so be prepared to buy very heavy collars and leashes. Mine breaks them all the time.
