What would you do if you found KKK literature in your mailbox or on yours and your neighbor's lawn?

Its a commen occurance in my small town. Its a well known and public fact that there is a kkk group in our town that still holds meetiings. I just throw the papers away…they don’t bother me in the least bit. If they choose to be ignorant and look like idiots - thats their choice. I’ll gladly throw away the papers they spent money printing and laugh at them.

Wow, what a shame that people like that still exist in 2011….I would use it to spit my gum out instead of using a napkin then toss it to the trash.

Check it out-definately!! I only see & hear about it on the movies. Hell if blacks,mexicans and the gooks can have a “gang” why not the white people? As long as theres no harm or threats made, who cares.

The KKK has a long history of violent criminal activity and intimidation. I would find out who in my town keeps an eye out for such activities and make sure they know about the distribution of the literatiure and that they have a copy of it. That could be some kind of research and monitoring group, an anti-bigotry organization, an interfaith alliance (clerical or lay), and/or the police. If the literature was targeting a particular kind of people (immigrants, Muslims, interracial couples, gays/lesbians, etc.), I would inform any local advocacy organizations for that group. If it were targeting an institution, like recruiting at a school, I would let the leadership of that institution know. If I thought the local situation was volatile or the contents of the literature imminently threatening, I would consider a more public response, like writing a letter to a local newspaper, talking with friends and neighbors about it, or being present (by myself if neceessary, but preferably with others) at an event they announced.

This question is not a hypothetical one for me; I have done all of these things, some of them multiple times.

Write a letter to a local newspaper, telling them about it and adding some of your thoughts.

Because it’s a FACT. ALL races have gangs, I dont care if your black white yellow red or green, It’s just a fact of life-not an assumption.

How the hell can you call a corporation or a business a “white gang”???

Each of these large corporations is governed by a corporate board that is a group of (nearly all) white men who band together to maximize their power in pursuit of what they see as their own material interest with little regard for the impact on others.

Who gives a crap,really?? just because some white people have the ambition,energy, and drive to go out and DO something with thier lives and be good at it and mabie even RICH? well, GOOD for them!! thats what living in AMERICA is all about!! You have the same opportunity. At least they’re not out on the streets spray painting the town or robbing & killing people.

Maybe I misunderstood, but I thought you were saying in your initial comment that the KKK was filling a vaccuum of white gangs to match the gangs of people of other colors. I’m just pointing out that not only are there many white gangs, but they tend to be much more powerful than the others. They can rob and kill and paint our neighborhoods in their own image without ever leaving their comfortable chairs in their heavily protected offices.

For the christ sake leave the political bull somewhere else!! You know what kind of gangs we’re talking about! If you have no comment on it then shut the hell up. You dont need to “make up” one. Get a life!
