What kinds of things usually go in a Christmas stocking?

Its small presents and items you think he will enjoy. Some ideas - candy, cologne, guitar picks (if he plays music), keychains, bracelet, necklace, gift card, cds, headphones, sweets, sunglasses, belt buckle, wallet, stickers, gloves, body spray, love coupon book, small figurines or toys from his childhood, flip lighter (if he happens to smoke), pocket knife, body wash, flavored lube (if your exchanging stocking alone that is), dog tag necklace you can engrave, pictures of the two of you (wallet sized), mp3 player, cellphone cover….thats all i can think of right now.

kids here would expect to find some money in them.

Every year in my christmas stocking I get the same stuff. I get a tooth brush, candy, a gift card for 25 dollars. Lol, kind of lame, but it usually fills the stocking. The candy isn’t ever really chocolate, it’s more like jolly ranchers, and hard candy.

You could fill it up with man-jewelry, movie vouchers, candy, cheap ipod headphones, a lighter if he smokes, mini travel sized shampoos, conditioners, and body wash, new piercing jewelry if he has a piercing, glasses if he wears them, keychains, a pen with his name on it, a wallet, chewing gum, cool brand shoe laces, skateboard wheels or bearings if he skates. That’s all I can think of! Girls are way easier to buy little things for because we use make-up, nail polish, hair clips and ties, etc etc lol.

Stockings in my family usually contain fairly inexpensive gifts - but lots of them.
