go to a shelter or try talking to your parents.

Answer #2

Im sorry dawg i been through the same shìt. At first i lived on rooftops and whatever allies were available but it is very dangerous. I got robbed too so you need to carry a knife with you. I got sucjed in to runnin with gangs but i dont advise that. Stay strong and stays safe man. Save some money and rent a room. Till then just stay in the open during the day and stay away from people at night

I’ve been homeless as well. Your best bet is to find your towns homeless shelter for the night so you atleast have a place to sleep. In the meantime talk to your friends parents or famiily members and see if you can just stay a few nights or temporarily until you can get enough money to get a place. Pick up more hours at work or find another job because youll need the extra money, and start searching your local newspaper and craigslist ads for apartments. You can usually find studio apartments for pretty cheap, when i was single on my own i rented a studio for just $300 a month.

your parents would need a court order to keep you out legally since you’re under 21… but for now, give your parents a few days to cool off & perhaps in the mean time you can sleep in your car for a bit? you could also check out a YMCA for assistance or a youth hostile. however, I think you should call your parents in the next couple of days and apologize. if they’re at all decent parents, they probably reacted rashly and are worried about you.

For the meantime, sleeping on rooftops is a lot safer than ground/park benches etc. You need to find a homeless shelter to have somewhere to sleep. What sort of job do you have? Is there any chance you could sleep there (eg you may work in a factory, or a golf range…)?

Here is some information in your area… please let us know if you’re okay.

CSH California works with nonprofit groups who develop, manage and offer services within supportive housing. This work is supported by CSH’s government and private sector funding partners.

Since its inception, the California office has helped its non-profit partners develop over 11,000 supportive housing units in Alameda, Contra Costa, Los Angeles, Marin, San Diego, San Francisco, San Mateo, and Santa Clara Counties, among others.

CSH has also been able to:

strengthen the skills of dozens of providers and nurture the industry by offering technical trainings and opportunities to enter into dialogue with policymakers on key funding and program issues; produce quality reports, evaluations and studies that range in from building partnerships, to legal issues in supportive housing, work with major local developers and experienced service providers to strengthen their work by establishing partnerships and helping to design or restructure service delivery and property management systems; advocate for greater resources for the development of housing affordable to people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and for the provision of integrated services. The California program has also created the Health, Housing and Integrated Services Network initiative to provide high quality integrated health, social and vocational services to tenants and lay the groundwork for long-term sustainable funding for these critical services. Interim findings from a study conducted by Berkeley’s Goldman School of Public Policy of more than 250 tenants who reside in HHISN housing found that 81% or 204 remained housed for at least one year and that they experienced a:

58% decrease in emergency room visits; 57% drop in the number of inpatient days; and 100% drop in use of residential mental health facilities. For more information about the CSH California program, contact:

If nothing else… go sit in the ER and tell them you’re waiting on someone! Figure out a way to be safe and indoors until you can regroup.
