Do jobs now require a person to have a bank account and his own cell phone number?

No…some jobs require you to have a bank account if they do direct deposit, but no job demands that you have a cellphone.

Well it depends. Mostly they do not need a bank account but in modern time many jobs require bank account for direct depositing money to your account. My father gets salary to his bank account and it is compulsory for him to have a bank account

Most jobs will require you to have a bank account number, otherwise how are they going to pay you?! Bank accounts don’t cost much and are very handy because you don’t have to carry cash all of the time. You also earn interest on your money and they can help you save by setting up a savings account. Although is is very good to have a cellphone, it is not mandatory, and a home phone is adequate.

Companies want you to have a bank account because the do EFT’s to transfer your salary into your bank account, which is a lot safer than doing cash. As for a cellphone that is also a requirement with a lot of firms, because you need to be reachable during all times of the day.
