Where can a 13-year-old work?

I really need a job, but there are not any that I can get. its so unfair. Does anyone know any jobs that would take 13 year olds. I am completely broke

Answer #1

you can work at a department store telling people where stuff is and how it works, but you have to go through training.well at least thats what my brother did when he was 13,but it also depends on where you live.

Answer #2

well you could either do all of that or you can ask your parents for xtra chores for a price..i mean maybe they run some type of shop or they could take you to there work. depends on how their boss says. or you could go to a nearest grocery store and help ppl putting their bags into the car. but if you do that dont ask if you can help just do it..or you can get some drinks or water and go to a street and sell them to ppl in cars or ppl walking around. be creative you also have relatives you can ask if you could wash their car..clean their house..babysit their kids or mow their lawn. be creative and dont be scared to take action.

Answer #3

well, thanks to child labor laws, you can’t work at any companies, but you can mke tons of money in your own neighborhood just by doing odd jobs, like mowing lawns, raking leaves helping out you elderly neighboors, paper roughtes, and stuff like that. BTW… I’m 13 too.

Answer #4

13 year olds can always babysit. You can deliver newspaper. Try to maybe sell lemonade or bake something and set it up in front of a store. Come up with a catchy phrase and every time somebody walks by you can say it and you will sale a lot.

I have the same problem. im trying to start a party planning business, but no one really needs a party planner I guess. I just need to get the word out there. anyway, I have a job with my dad that I mow the lawn every week, really good, like with the tractor, and then with the push mower and then with the trimmer. my mom said that when school starts, when I get home from school, I can clean the kitchen, livingroom, hallway and bathroom. my dad said I should just ask around like go to small stores like pizza shops, but im not sure they would hire me for a part time job. I might as well try. I read on this one acrticle that people are surprised when younger kids come ask for jobs, and they respect that. good luck. im trying the same thing

Answer #6

my friend got me a job at his dads pizza restraunt. I get paid 10 dollars an hour and all I do is place the toppings on the pizzas and put them in the oven. Me and my friend make the pizzas, these other girls who are just older then us make pasta and do dishes. We had to go through training before we could start work though. His uncle also hires people to entertain at his restraunt.

Answer #7

I heard you can do corn shucking, it pays I think up to $100 a day. it pays good because your out in the heat and there is like a whole field you share with a couple kids I think.

At 13, the only way you could make money would be to baby sit or maybe become a dog walker for pet owners in your neighborhood.
