Excerising disoder... Was curious...
uhm well not exactly, it really depends on the motivation behind the exercising...
It is related to some eating disorders, so if you binge then go and exercise for 5 hours it is a symptom of bulemia, if you dont eat and overexercise it could be a symptom of anorexia, or it could be a symptom of eating disorder NOS (not otherwise specified).
It could be linked to like a body image problem? (maybe body dismorphic disorder?) or some other obession with body shape?
I cant remember any other disorders it is linked to... but there might be others...
There are problems that could arise - a decreased metabolism, depressed thyroid, insomnia, poor concentration, depression, irritability, and a depressed immune system.
Ofcourse I'm not a doctor, so really if you're concerned about someone or yourself should talk to a doctor.
Uhm well online tests arent the most reliable things on earth or the most accurate, as far as I know exercising disorder doesnt exist in the DSM...
But as for the "it gets you off" part, you need food simply to be alive... even while you're sleeping your body burns calories... if you burn off all your calories by exercising, you deprive your body of food it needs to carry out its everyday functions...
I would consider talking to someone about it... It's not a healthy way to be living...
well it was in regards to me why I asked this ? I took a eating disorder test and it said I have that disorder and of course anorexica (ednos) so I was curious to knwo if there was a such thing.. I like burning off my calories in the day it kinda gets me off you know...
yeah, some people love working out, they cant get enough of it. There are some people that also use steroids that really warp their brain.
