Is my two toned mole a sign of cancer, how do I find out?

I have this two toned mole that is just the size of a pencil eraser. I have heard that color and size are things that you are suppose to wacth out for.

It is on one of my breast and the thing that worries me is that breast cancer runs in my family. I have had two great-aunts die from it in their fourtys and two other aunts have it.

I really don’t want to go to the doctor about it becuse I would feel extreamly uncomfortale with ANYONE cheaking me out. Aslo I am only 17 any 1) don’t wish to find out to have it at this age 2) heard that most people don’t get examine till they are twenty. Aslo If I go and find it was nothing I will feel extreamly violated.

Should I worry about this, or am I over-reacting? Is there anything else I could do to know for sure?

Please go to the doctor its ok, go to a woman doctor, seriously it could save your life. Please just go it sounds like you are over reacting doctors do this everyday just about and save peoples lives if they find something is wrong. You should go thats what anyone else would tell you to do. And its better than getting a papsmear done, have you ever had one of them? Well if you are sexually active you should because they save lives aswell. Good luck !!!!!!

Go to a dermatologist its the only way to feel more confortable ask for a female doctor….I orefer a female too and ask for them. You must go to a speical place to get it checked out they can see things that you may not think would be a sign they can also do tests. When you get older your gonna have to get your breasts examined for cancer in them anyway so might as weel start by heading to the dermatologist just ask for a woman doctor.

You might as well get over being embaressed. When you turn 18 you should take a visit with a gyno and the gyno will be examining your breasts and “down there”. Sure it’s uncomfortable and embaressing but it is for your health.

I have a funny story… My last gyno visit, she had this blanket out for me to cover my breasts with. She handed it to me and I laughed and handed it back. She asked me “Are you sure you don’t want this?” And I replied. “You’re a woman, I’m a woman. This is your job and you see hundreds of women’s breasts, I’m sure it’s nothing you haven’t seen before.”

I think that’s the mentallity you have to take.
