Information Assurance...

I’m 22 and beginning to wonder how do I start living my dream life. I want to work in the IT field, more specifically, I want to work in the Information Assurance field. Currently, I am seeking to obtain A+, Network+, and Ethical Hacking Certifications.

  1. What do I do after obtain my certifications in trying to break into the industry? Many companies want someone with experience and I have none. They also would like potential employees to hold at least a BS degree and I don’t have that either?

  2. Should I be interested in goingg back to school? If so, what schools are best suited for training in this field?

  3. Where can I expect to work? My dream job is working for NSA on some really confidential stuff or working as a traveling consultant who is hired to seek out the weak points in a client’s network and advise them on ways to prevent any further breach.

Try finding a company that offers apprenticeship programs - they will often hire students and keep them for on-the-job training after the student has completed their course.
