Should I tell my Mom about my weight loss?

well my mum has been keeping an eye on my latley telling me that I need to start eating more and all that stuff. (pffft what ever!) and so I tiold her I would, but I havnt and she has been getting really mad at me. I know what I am doing, and I know who much of food and what type of food is good for me. I know what I am doing. but she wont believe me. and she says that I am gettign to skinny and so tomorrow she is going to take me to the doctors and they are going to do a check up and weigh me and stuff. (I think she wants theem to evaluate me asweell (what ever that is.)) but I am really scared now because I have been wearing baggy clothes, my mum doesnt know that I have lost about 10kilos since she last took me to the doctors to get weighed, (maybe 3 weeks ago) and the doctors already said that I was underweight to begin with (no I was not!!)

but I am really scared what my mum might think. what should I do. do I tell my mum about the weight loss beofre we go tomorrrow so she isnt shocked?? I really don’t want to, but I don’t know what else to do. :S

Well, the truth has apparently surfaced. It is YOU that has the eating disorder, not your friend. You ARE anorexic. You need counseling and therapy. Anorexia is a disease of the mind. It causes you to have false images of yourself and you are unable to overcome anorexia without help.

Your posts are starting to sound very similar to another anorexic on this site who died just under a month ago. Please check out the Question below which has a lot of information about her that she wanted to share:

Don’t play games with this. It is a disease that is bigger than you and does require medical intervention to overcome it.

well friend,

I’m wondering why does your mum want you to get more kelograms?…do you know what is she doing now?…she is infecting you with her illusions, and that was the reason behing losing 10 Kgs within 3 weeks…which is absoloutly not good. As for visiting the medical team I guess that you have 2 options:

A. to go to the doctors, whight and when it looks that you have lost 10 kelos you may be able to say that you didn’t know about that…

B. to tell your mother now - which is better- and ask her not to be so obssasive about the whight thing…because you are going to get your “feeding program” that contains every healthy element that your body needs…and then you may convince her not to go to the doctor.

C. you may go to the doctors after you tell your mother about the 10KGs and ask the doctors him/herself for a “feeding program”.

On any event, I think you look healthy to me in the picture…just take care of your health.

Please let me know what had happened to you afterwords…

Cheers!

look, you might think that your overweight but if the doctors are saying your underweightm then your underweight im betting your a lot less ‘fatter” than you think you actually are and its unhealthy for you to be thinking thsis way lossing 10kgs in 3 weeks when your already underweight is dangerouse and if all this is cause by you not eating, then you need to get help this isnt just your weight, its your life its your not eating and robbing your body of needed fats and nutrients you can die and if you think youd rather die than be “fat” then you really have a problem get the help she wants you to get it sounds like you have an eating disorder your mum loves you, shes cares, and shes worrying about you the doctors are also concerned its not too late to turn your life around and change your way of thinking its not to late to save your life because a life spent over worrying about your weight and trying to losse it isnt a life at all

The dostor is a trained medical professional that has studied for 5 years just to become a doctor. You are just going by what you think is right in your teenage mind. The teenage mind can be stubborn.

So if the doctor said you were underweight and you have lost 10 kilos in 3 weeks (which is a lot I believe) that could be dangerous for you. The doctor will tell you everything you need to know. If he cant help he will know someone who can. Trust the doctor.

Please.

Answer #6

If your Dr said you’re underweight, you are ! - don’t be stubborn and in denial, be Healthy - your Mom obviously is doing her best to look after your best interests, loves you, and Cares - many, many, parents don’t - be Thankful.
