How do I lose weight the healthy way?

OK so I just moved to this small little town. I am a sophmore. I have never been skinny and a few years ago I lost some weight because I was anorexic, but when I moved I promised myself I would not be anorexic and I havent been since but it seems like the more I want to loose weight the more I dont! Well I am currently cheerleader but I get embarassed because they are all skinny. But I cant think of any other way of becoming skinny without going anorexic!!! So my question is how do I loose weight and look amazing without breaking my promise to myself???

the way you loose weight in a good healthy way try eating fruits, nutirgrain bars, vegstebales instead of eating all the candy and chips and junk for snacks. you should try doing the basic running or sit ups and push ups a couple times a week, and dont starve your self and before you work out make sure you stretch!

hope this heelpsss! <3samantha.

Not meaning to be a copy pasta… but…

  1. eat 5 to 6 meals a day.

  2. Of those 5 meals, adjust your macronutrient (carbs, proteins, and fats) according to what you will be doing for ‘the next 3 hours of your life’, until your next meal.

  3. Exercise for 30 at least once a day. If you can, exercising twice a day is best

  4. you cant keep losing weight long term. If you’ve been losing weight for 2 or 3 months consistently, you’ll need to deliberately gain weight for at least a month (or in your case, maybe just 2 weeks or so)

  5. You can achieve better results using the zig-zag method. This is where you gain weight once or twice a week, on heavy workout days, then lose weight the rest of the week.

  6. Finally, when all is said and done, there is but 1 thing that ultimately decides if you will lose fat on a given day or not: calories.

Hope that helps

there are plenty of healthy ways to lose weight. if you want to lose 2 pounds a week (the most you are supposed to) then you need to reduce your calorie intake by 400 calories a day. exercising everyday is also really helpful. you need to be aware of all the nutritional content in the foods you eat. although somthing may appear to be healthy becuase it has low fat and calories, it may have alot of sugar, and sugar turns into fat. to figure out how many teaspoons of sugar are in somthing you divide the number of grams of sugar by 4 (if somthing has 4 grams of sugar then it has one teaspoon). i dont know how much you weigh, so i cant tell you how many grams to have per day, but i am 100 pounds and i should have between 6 and 9 teaspoons a day. dont waste calories on drinks. only drink diet drinks or water. even somthing that seems innocent, like apple juice, can be terrible for you. a soda sized can of apple juice has 40 grams of sugar! (thats 10 teaspoons). i am also a sophmore, so i know how big the pressure to be skinny is. im a dancer, so i know how you feel about cheerleading and stuff. best of luck to you! you can always funmail me if you have more questions about dieting. you should keep a food diary and write down everything you eat each day, the number of calories, fat, and sugar in everything and add up your total for the day to make sure you arent going over your daily intake. there is a book called “the diet for teenagers only” and it is really helpful. good luck!!

Exercise 3-4 times a week 30-60 minutes of an overall body workout using aerobics, which your getting in Cheerleading, walking, or jogging, if you can– swimming and resistance training. Eat natural foods and smaller portions. Cut out fried and fast foods, at least for awhile. Snack on fruits, veggies, nuts and seeds instead. Cut out soda and presweetened drinks and drink lots of water throughout the day. If you keep to just natural foods and cut out processed foods and white flour products , use wheat or whole grain bread, rice , pasta and cereals. These changes will help you lose weght slowly but keep it off permanently.

well least you have skinny cheerleaders. all of my cheerleaders are fat ugly and they do NOT know how to dance! Anyway, I think you just need to love yourself the way you are. if you want to be skinny, lets face it, it won’t be easy getting there. You need to work at it and make a comitment to it. Eating healthily is VERY important. Eat lots of fruits and veggies. But don’t take away sweets away from your life completely. Your body needs fats and oils as much as it doesn’t need them. Exercising is also very important. Don’t over exercise. Push yourself, but don’t rip the envolope. Once you get to your goal weight, don’t stop doing what you are doing because you will just go back to where you were. if you dont’ want to do all that, then i guess you just have to be fat…
