How to get music from two computers to an iPod?

How do I transfer music from both pc’s to 1 ipod?

Answer #1

iPods use a software program called iTunes. iTunes is set to create one library and syncs with your iPod. The computer you install iTunes on and sync your iPod to is going to be the only way you’ll be able to transfer music from your computer to your iPod. You cannot install iTunes on another PC and have it sync your iPod to the library on that computer. If you try, you’ll end up deleting all of your files from your iPod.

You’ll have to find some way to transport the music files from one PC to the other. You could try using a jumpdrive and move the files that way. However you go about trasnporting those files though, you’ll have to move them to the original PC where iTunes first synced with your iPod to create your current music library.

Answer #2

nero is right that iTunes normally syncs the library on your PC to your iPod..

I outlined the steps for moving songs from an iPod to a PC in:

This is probably the easiest way to move songs from one iTunes library to another. When I bought a new computer I moved my entire library to it with this method.

Answer #3

you plug it in and on the first page that pops up there are three boxes to check or uncheck and one of them says manually manage songs and you check that one and uncheck the one that says automatically sync. and then you can just drag the ongs you want from the computer you want.
