whats it like 2 be a farmer? I really want to live on a farm with a few cows, horses, chickens, when I grow up.

Well mot people may call you a hick but if you really want to be a farmer then go for… my dad is a plumber and a farmer so I get the best of them both anyways… you get to brush hog, combine(really hard), buy and sell cows(really cute calfs), and drink a lot of beer haha

Anyway, This American Life did an episode back in 2004 featuring a guy who quit his 9-to-5 job to move to the country and become a farmer, something he’d always dreamed of doing. The little radio documentary that was done on him is definitely worth a listen if you’re wondering what the life would be like. Sometimes dreams don’t always work out as planned…
