What can I do to make my four year old boy listen to me?

u need to show him whose boss but dont yell cause then when hes older when people dont listen to him he will yell you need to be assertive give him time outs when he dosent listen and dont be suprised if you hear a ‘ I HATE U’ cause they just hear that on tv the dont really understand hoppe this helps

be more strict and consistent. if he gets away with something once he will always expect to get away with it. if you let him through his tantrum or whatever and dont give in he will stop and try to listen in order to get his way.

This could be a good trick: Take away most of his toys ( or all of them if you want ) and tell him that when he listens to you, you’ll give him one toy back. The more times he listens, the more toys he’ll receive. If he misbehaves or ignores you, you’ll take away a toy until he listens.

depends what it is your trying to get him to do… try treating him when he does something you want him to… sweets, chocolate, trips to the park that sorta thing and pretty soon he’ll understand that if he does what you want he will get treats!
