How is it possible ?

I’ve noted with interest that an Advisor here states in answering several questions on the site referring to homosexuality, advising: it is undisputed that sexual preferences are totally biological - I’m wondering if there are many who have indeed left that lifestyle, as I have read and heard testimony, that there are - How is this possible to abandon it, if they are ‘locked-in’ biologically ?

I dont believe its entirely biological myself I think its a mix of your that with environmental factors, but theres no way of proving or disproving it as you can hardly bring up the same child twice in two differany enviroments can you?

Although I have to ask does it really matter?

Dear amblessed, well I am assuming you are referring to me…how could someone choose celibacy and abandon their heterosexual tendencies? I’ve been privy to reports of those who thought they could change their sexual orintation…this has not proven to be very successful with the families that have attempted this. It’s kinda like making your kids eat liver and they gag and hold their nose but they eat it to please. Do they learn to love liver…no but they do learn to recent their parents for trying to make them eat what they just don’t like. But I regress! Sue…good luck

Answer #3

I understand your position as indicated above - anyone who says they left that lifestyle successfully and no longer have those desires are liars, thanks !!
