How do I get "In Your Face!" blue hair?

I’ve been trying to get that bright “In Your Face!” blue(a.k.a. electric blue) hair without useing real hair dye. The kind that EVERYONE has to look at, and I somewhat acheived it, but only because my natural hair color is blonde, and it was more green then bright blue. I’ve come to the conclustion that I need to lighten my hair drastically before I use the dye method I found. How do I do that with stuff either in the kitchen, or the bathroom? Note: I am NOT refering to cleaning supplies. I DO understand the “May cause skin and eye irritation” warnings.

nothing (eg food dye, cordial, ect) is going to make your hair bright blue without making it sticky, gunky, and crap looking not to mention as soon as water touches it the colour will run the only option is hair dye if your hair as orangy blonde that explain the green so your hair needs to be pretty blonde to get the bright blue dye to show up properly so yeah just bleach (if needed) and use a better hair dye nothing else can gie you what you want I have bright blue and purple hair by the way
