How can I convince my mom to move?

Well, I’ll be starting high school soon, and we’re trying to get a transfer so I can go to school out west, like in the west of my town, I live out east. Lately, I’ve been feeling really uncomfortable on the east side and I really really wanna move to the west side. The thing is my mom thinks it’s gross out there and she’s all caught up on the fact that she “owns” our house..

Well, she’s getting some repair done on our house, that we’ve lived in for over 10 years, and I just really don’t wanna live here anymore. My mom works out west, so she could have an easier drive to work, I’d be going to school out west, my dad lives out west, but he’s not really.. Fatherly to me, so I don’t wanna live with him and my best friend lives out west too. On top of that, the people are friendlier and I was sexually harassed yesterday out east. I’m just disgusted with our neighborhood, and this side of town. I don’t even know what to do.

So how can I convince my mom to move from east side to west side?

ah kids… what do you care about security and having a roof over your head, that’s what parents are for… and what do you care about the financial downturn which makes it the worst time in several decades to sell a house… I sympathize with you not feeling safe, but your mother is not doing this simply to hurt you or be difficult… there’s very real financial implications here…
