how can a parent tell

the thing is, honey, that even if she HAS had sex, doesnt mean you need to yell at her and get her all upset.

everyone makes mistakes. what you need to do is find proof. used condoms? birth control pill?

if you confront her, dont yell. tell her “I give you permission to make mistakes. I want you to learn from this.”

for all you no, if she did, shes probably just as upset as you are. maybe she didnt plan it, but her hormones took over and she didnt think about what she was doing.

just take a minute, breathe, and think. you need to consider her too. ♥

as far as I know there are no signs of a girl having sex that a parent can tell. im sure a doctor could tell with an examination, but I wouldnt suggest taking her to a doctor to find out. I dont think they could release that information to you without her permission anyway. you would just have to sit her down and have a talk with her. let her know she can trust you and you won’t get mad and become more strict. thats what my parents did with me and when they asked I told them the truth.

Please dont yell at her. Or scream at her. You seem upset at the moment, but take a few days to calm down and figure out what you really want to say. My mom does that to me all the time, then she wonders why we dont have a good relationship. Try and connect to her. The worst thing is having someone want you to tell them everything, but then having them give nothing in return. Tell her stories about your past but dont say over and over again how you regreted it or something. Try and understand her. I dont know. This is what I’d tell my mom…

does she have a boyfriend? ok so if she has been dating him for awhile, she very well could be. this doesnt mean you go get mad at her and stuff. you have to be understanding or else she will never talk to you or tell you anything ever again
