can you get HIV or AIDs if you go camping with someone infected and you get bit by the same mosquito?

just curious…

Answer #1

No, and there are a few reasons for this….1) Mosquitoes don’t transfer blood from one person to another. 2) The HIV virus doesn’t live long enough in a mosquito for it to be able to pass it on. 3) A mosquito doesn’t typically jump from one host to another…they feed once and require time to digest.

Answer #2

Colleen is absolutely right about this. Mosquitoes suck blood, then they go and digest for a half an hour and then feed their babies.

Answer #3

Once one Mosquito gets the blood it needs, it flys away with the wind back to its home
